I managed to release Brickout95% on Breakpoint2007.


Features

Introduction
------------
The goal of Brickout Game is to solve a level, a level is solved when there is no stone left. At least 2 stones of the same color can be taken out of the game.

Special Moves
When playing the game the playfield can be turned upside down or shifted
(leftmost colum becomes rightmost),
to generate more and longer series of same colored stones.

Masters take series of 20 stones or even more from the field as the last move.
Last moves get cubiced score!

In higher levels the stones begin to slip, meaning that when the stones crash together, they need a right and bottom-right free field to slip of to the right.

The level HARD provides a fifth stone on the playfield, making it even harder to reach real high scores (like >20.000)


Scoring
-------

Making points in Brickout is easy.
Tthe more stones you take, the more points you get
In game you get the squared amount of taken pieces as score.
The last amount of taken pieces gets the cubed score!

When a level is completely cleaned up, your score gets doubled at the end!


Why 95%?
--------
the final version will feature a more decent level selection, not all levels will be playable from the beginning, another intro and loading system

the 100% version will contain many more graphics, especially in the intro, but also in the game, different cups for solving a level and highscore entry

the scoring system will be also adjusted, in this version it is more esy to make high-scores than to clean the field, this will be changed to honor people who clear a whole level.

95% Fixed
The game has had some flaws when using on a real c64, problems with highscore loading/saving occured. Freezer modules made the program crash

the above described problems should be solved in Patch3

The game is now crunched using Exomizer, consuming only 63 Blocks.



28.04.2007 Final Disc Patch, Brickout should now save/load without hanging!

09.04.2007 Save Highscore Patch
           Due to severe problems on real c64s there are 2 binaries
           on disc, the default "brickout.prg" now does not save 
           nor load anything from disc!

06.04.2007 Pre-Release, 95%
           the game is NOT compressed on disk!
           no intro gfx !
