<Gorn> I'm not sure I understand you.
<Gorn> I don't want to go that way.Gorn yells at you from the shore thatyou can't go that way.
<Gorn> It's too dark in here. I'mleaving. Surprisingly the Highwaymen allow youto pass in peace. The Highwaymen rob you of everythingyou are carrying and then allow youpassage. Halfway down, the vine snaps and youplummet to the bottom! You are temporarily stunned from thefall. There wasn't enough time!
<Gorn> Now just how are we supposed todo that? Fly? Gorn drinks from the flask, then passes it to Lisa, who drinks, and she passes it to you. Gorn gasps, then sinks to the ground.Dizziness overcomes you. You sink toyour knees. Everything is going black...You are DEAD!
<Gorn> Well, we're out of water. You are getting very thirsty! You just died of thirst!
<Gorn> Well, we're out of fuel andthe lantern is empty now!
<Gorn> Hey, I think I smell kerosene. Gorn grabs the lantern and immediatelyfills it up with all of the kerosene. The cub dragon sniffs you, wards youoff with a few puffs of smoke and thenreturns to sleep.
<Gorn> It's not here to look at. It's a book. I think your supposed toread it. She's pretty. So what? Looks like an ordinary 20' snake tome. Inscribed on the skin is 'From theearth receiveth I fulfillment' It's 14K gold filled with a .75C ruby.
<Gorn> There's a passage behind thefalls.'Dragonbane' is inscribed on the sword.
<Gorn> The kid dragon looks okay.
<Gorn> The dragon cub is dead!
<Gorn> Looks perfectly ordinary to me.
<Gorn> Unlike a certain advisor, theRoyal Champion is not famous for anelevated level of verbal proficiency.
<Gorn> I'd be glad to if she were here. Lisa looks at you without answering.
<Gorn> I love a scrap as much as thenext guy, but this isn't the time!
<Gorn> We don't have one with us, mostwise advisor sir.
<Gorn> Get rid of what??
<Gorn> I'm not going to throw our goldaway like that!
<Gorn> Okay. He's in.
<Gorn> The cub is already in the pouch.
<Gorn> We have wealth enough. It wouldonly slow us down.
<Gorn> Pour what??
<Gorn> OK, but I think our flask isempty now.
<Gorn> OK, but I don't like it.
<Gorn> There's nothing here to open.
<Gorn> Unnh! Eyunnh! I think it'slocked, Sir! Methinks the chest is already open.
<Gorn> OK, it's open.
<Gorn> That's not something to ignite.
<Gorn> We don't have a lantern.
<Gorn> Okay. It's lit.
<Gorn> It's already lit!
<Gorn> Can't. We're out of fuel.
<Gorn> Let's see now--we're carrying:
<Gorn> We don't have it to wear!
<Gorn> That direction might lead us tothe end of our Quest.
<Gorn> It's not here to read. Try looking at it. It is a price list: ITEM SOVEREIGNS You now know all there is to know about Sorry, It's in Latin. It's a Dragonese-Pig Latin dictionary.
<Gorn> I'm not sure we can travel inthat direction.
<Gorn> Why do a fool thing like that?
<Lisa> I assure you, the owner of thehouse is not in.
<Gorn> We don't have it to give.
<Gorn> Best not. We may need it later.
<Gorn> Sorry, I never learned to tiethose.
<Gorn> Would love to if we had a rope.
<Gorn> Okay, it's tied.
<Gorn> Okay. That should hold.
<Gorn> I can't ride that!
<Gorn> We haven't got a rug. When all are on, the carpet flies tothe pit, rolls up, gets in the chest, and the lid closes on it.
<Gorn> We don't have a lantern.
<Gorn> It's not lit!
<Gorn> Okay, it's out.
<Gorn> That's not something that's lit.
<Gorn> We don't have enough gold! Slow it down. I can't keep the ticketstraight.
<Gorn> Please be specific.
<Gorn> It doesn't look moveable.
<Gorn> We already have it.
<Gorn> Okay. He's out.
<Gorn> It's not here to get! Oh Yeah! I forgot about those books. We Have: BOOK SOVEREIGNSBeginning Prestidigitation 25Care of Pet Unicorns 20Lingua Draco Flameus 35Pig Latin Made Simple 36Penguins as Pets 20Useful Herbs 34
<Gorn> I don't see any water here.
<Gorn> Our flask is already full!
<Gorn> We have nothing to carry waterin.
<Gorn> Best not. The water looks salty.
<Gorn> Swimming is for fish.
<Gorn> That won't hold water very well.Flask: Filled
<Gorn> Huh?
<Gorn> That's not something to wear.
<Gorn> We have no armor.
<Gorn> Not now, it would only slow usdown.
<Gorn> I'm already wearing it.
<Gorn> Are you kidding??
<Gorn> We have no food.
<Gorn> Chomp,chomp,chomp...
<Gorn> That's not something to unlock.
<Gorn> What door?
<Gorn> First methinks we need a key. Before you have a chance to open thedoor, someone from inside locks itagain.
<Gorn> I can't drink that!Aaaaaaahhh...
<Gorn> What did thou sayest? Gorn looks at you and obviouslyconfused, says nothing.
<Gorn> We don't have a lantern.

The cub dragon tears away from youin an attempt to avoid the spillingwater. However, it's tail gets wet andyou are blinded by the smoke as ittries to puff its tail dry. When thesmoke clears, the cub is nowhere to beseen. Upon reaching the castle, the dragongently lowers everyone to the groundthen returns to the west with her babyclose behind. The awestruck castleguards raise the gate to allow youentrance. You have done well, my friend, youhave done well. Perhaps our paths willcross again upon another Quest......Fare thee well(more)0XhX_`aaaQbbbccc%dbddeeeee5fbf.h

The dank tunnel bends to the left. The cold tunnel walls curve to theleft. The damp tunnel bends to the right. The tunnel curves right. The tunnel continues on straight. The dark tunnel runs straight ahead. The dank tunnel branches to the right. The tunnel forks to the right. The damp tunnel forks to the left. The tunnel branches to the left. Light shines in from the tunnelentrance. A flight of stairs lead upward. A darktunnel passage stretches to the W. The tunnel ends abrubtly. The wall issmooth, obviously fabricated. The tunnel makes a sharp turn to theright. The dark tunnel bends sharply to theright. The dark tunnel makes a sharp turn tothe left. The tunnel bends sharply to the left. A cave-in blocks the tunnel passage. You are at the top of a steep cliffoverlooking an endless desert. A largetree grows just at the edge of thecliff.

Gorn points at a cave about halfwayup the sheer cliff face. You are standing on a ledge halfway upa cliff. There are strange claw markson the ledge leading from a cave. An endless desert stretches around you.To the E, a vertical cliff risesskyward. A towering cliff blocks passage to theE. You are at the foot of an unclimbablecliff. Water! A spring of life amidst thisinterminable hell! The shimmering desert extends foreverin all directions. The blistering sun boils the sandbeneath your feet. The heat is almost unbearable with thesun beating down from above and thesand reflecting upwards. The intense sunlight reflecting fromthe sand is nearly blinding. The desert sands stretches endlesslyin all directions. The endless desert continues forever. The desert stretches all about you asfar as you can see. The claw marks extend further on intothe cave. Some trinkets lie scattered about. The dirt road is passing through somehilly terrain. A small mountain rangecan be seen to the southwest. The road curves to the S and E.Several mountains can be seen to thesouth. The dust road leads N and S. Themountains loom high to the S. The road narrows into a path whichenters a dark cave at the base of somemountains. The mountains are just to the S. Thedirt road continues on to the N. The road narrows into a path whichenters a dark cave at the base of somemountains.

A large sphinx keeps youfrom entering the cave.
<Sphinx> First you must answer me this: Blue as the skyon a summer day, Fresh as a fieldof just cut hay, Deep as the pitsbeneath the fires of hell, Clear as a notefrom a pure silver bell, Still as a graveyardon a cold winter night, Ruthless as a hawkin its death dealing flight, As peaceful as a riverthat flows gently by, The question to answer is"What am I? Correct. You may pass. Wrong. You may not enter.

<Dragon> Rawallfgshnaughzrolwilf!
<Lisa> I know dragonese. I'll translatefor you: According to your recently acquiredknowledge of dragonese, you translatethusly:
<Dragon> Do naught to deepen my sorrow, foolish mortals.
<Dragon> I bear thee or this kingdom nogrudge. This land was my home longbefore the existance of Balema. Mysorrow is for my cub that has beenseparated from me. Find my cub and Iwill leave this kingdom in peace onceagain.
Gorn whispers to you, "Let's leavethis place before the stench of thisdragon overwhelms you and I both!" Immediately upon entering the dragon'slair the mother dragon detects that youhave its cub, alive and well. The cubstruggles away from you and runs to itsmother. For a few sentimental moments the mother and baby warmly bathe eachother in short bursts of flame (atouching sight). The joyous motherdragon then scoops everyone up, placesthem firmly on her back, and flies easttowards the castle. The dragon's lair! An enormous dragonis lying in the middle of a smallcavern, admist heaps of gold, jewels, and assorted other wealth. The dragon slowly turns its massivehead until its green slitted eyes cometo rest upon you. A young dragon is asleep on the floor. The dragon bellows deafeningly, rearsup onto its haunches, spreads itsgreat wings, and incinerates the entireparty!
<Dragon> Don't try my patience bydisturbing me with empty hands
